Pool Acid Washing
Throughout the life of the plaster in a pool, stains develop that make the plaster lose its previous "new plaster" appearance. That's why we recommend a pool be drained and acid washed every 5 to 7 years to remove discoloring caused by metals and/or chemicals. An acid wash will generally remove superficial stains, fine scale deposits, and various colored deposits from the plaster. A client can typically expect their pool plaster to look 80% brighter than before. An acid wash will not remove heavy deposits or stains that have penetrated through many layers of plaster. Please be advised that licensed individuals who are trained in acid washing techniques should only perform acid washes. Call to schedule a free evaluation to see if your pool is a good "candidate" for this service.
